A fine example of early textiles remade in the 20th century, this two piece dress set is made out of a Victorian era paisley wool shawl. Dating this one had me stumped a bit as the closures/ trim sees to lend it towards the 1930s era, but more likely 1960s based on shape. The dress has snaps that fasten all the way across one shoulder and down the side front of the dress to about hip level. Condition: Good for age; there were a few scattered areas that were backed with original fabric and darned over as shown that is camouflaged very well due to busy print
